This is a hilarious video of Violet so tired while she was bouncing in her bouncy toy station. She kept dozing off and would wake back up by starting to bounce again. See her as her head dozes forward and back! This was also on Aaron’s birthday, January 24th. It was so funny we’re thinking about sending it to America’s Funniest Home Videos!

Happy New Year everyone!

The first couple snows were a great start, but then it snowed again on December 20th into the 21st – more great snow!  But, that wasn’t the end, on the 22nd it snowed even more!  Until by December 24th, Christmas Eve, we had over 1.5 feet of snow packed on the ground!  Christmas Day we woke up to it snowing and it was definitely a White Christmas!  Here are some photos of the snow all accumulated.

dsc05708Christmas morning! Winter Wonderland!

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderfu Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.  -Isaiah 9:6

Joy to the world the Lord has come!  Praise be to God for giving us His Son who we remember was born on this day!

To all our friends and family, have a Merry Christmas.  Thank you for being part of our lives.

Grace and peace be with you all,

Aaron, Barby, and baby Violet Allen

Wednesday night December 17th it snowed again into the morning and all day Thursday the 18th.  Snow accumulated to about 4″!  We now await the 3rd snow front that will be hitting us this evening into tomorrow.

Brief video of the snow coming down out front during the day.

It snowed part of the day and into the night of December 13th.  That night we went to the Pathway of Lights that is put on once every year at Greenlake.  Fake candles are lit in paper bags aligning both sides of the path all the way around Greenlake.

In the morning on the 14th we woke up to about 2″ of dry, icy, powdery white-ness!  That day there was a beautiful blue winter sky with scattered swoops of clouds.  Eventually that went away and turned into the cloudy and gray wintery sky.

Continuing the Allen Family tradition of cutting our own fresh Christmas tree from our favorite tree farm in Arlington.  Violet had fun decorating for the first time.
